I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
